Industrial commercial and personal project images by award winning photographer Colleen Tunnicliff

Caption: These sheds were purpose built for the dryng of hop and tobacco leaves and are unique to the Nelson region due to the particular micro climate of the area. Tobacco growing was a protected industry until the early 80's where upon the deadly crop was phased out. For me these simple structures serve as monuments to workers of the land and a more naive New Zealand.
